Cook (Part Time)
Prepares food orders, including entrees, salads, appetizers, sandwiches and other dishes. Sauté, grill and carves food. Washes, peels, slices, and mixes ingredients for salads, cold plates and garnishes. Carves and slices meats and cheese. Portions and arranges food on serving dishes. Measures and mixes ingredients and follows recipes. Distribute food to banquet servers.
Position requires walking, standing regularly, lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Irregular hours dictated by events. One year certificate from culinary school or comparable experience. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and interpret recipes. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Housekeeper (Part-Time)
This position is a detail-oriented yet labor intensive position that focuses on the quality of the work performed. It involves the necessary housekeeping and special cleaning projects dictated by the facility events and internal and external clients at the facility to maintain a high degree of standards. There may be movement and placement of equipment as part of the job at times up to 50 lbs. General janitorial functions such as, but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors, stripping composite floors, extracting carpet, washing glass/windows/mirrored surfaces, washing walls, cleaning stainless steel, dusting, replenishing supplies, bailing cardboard, rubbish and debris removal.
Work shift available is 6am-2pm. HS graduate or equivalent preferred. One to two years of custodial/janitorial experience in hotels, hospitals, offices or other large commercial facility preferred. Subject to adverse conditions and to various cleaning chemicals. Must have the ability to work flexible/irregular hours. Position requires extensive walking, occasional bending, lifting, climbing, carrying, stooping, crawling, equipment operation both indoors and out, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must have ability to become familiar with facility floor plan and acquainted with all sections of the facility. Upon training, must possess ability to operate machinery used by department (such as scrubbers, buffers, vacuum cleaners and extractors). This position requires the ability to communicate well with all individuals and work as a team player.
Operations Set-Up Crew (Part-Time)
This position is a labor-intensive position. It involves the movement and placement of large quantities of facility furniture including, but not limited to chairs, tables, stanchions, wall panels, dollies, etc. and other related equipment up to 50 lbs.
Work shift available is 3pm - 11pm. HS graduate or equivalent preferred. Position requires heavy lifting, climbing, carrying, stooping, crawling and equipment operation both indoors and out. Subject to adverse conditions. Ability to work irregular hours. Possess ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to become familiar with facility floor plan and acquainted with all sections of “housekeeping areas”. Must possess ability to operate machinery used by department (such as buffers, tenant scrubbers, cardboard balers, vacuum cleaners). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. One to two years of custodial/janitorial experience in hotels, hospitals, or some large venue (airports, arenas, and multi-office complexes) preferred. Outside grounds experience a plus.
